Alfa Laval führt die nächste Generation der Zustandsüberwachung ein

/INS. Alfa Laval launches Clariot™, a next-generation AI-based condition monitoring solution designed specifically for hygienic process plants, providing more accurate analysis and support. Clariot™ monitors assets and processes and provides insights to improve uptime and optimize resource efficiency.

"We developed Clariot™ based on our extensive experience with more than 3,000 condition monitoring units already in use worldwide," says Torsten Pedersen, Commercial Head Condition Monitoring at Alfa Laval Fluid Handling. "With the new hardware and software, we can now offer a complete digital handshake that is tailored for use in demanding hygienic processes."

Every drop counts

Unplanned downtime costs manufacturers billions of euros in lost revenue every year. Process equipment malfunctions cause product loss, additional cleaning, production delays, loss of resources, and possibly even potential damage to the machines.

"In a world where every drop and every hour of work counts, our customers are increasingly looking for solutions that improve uptime and productivity while reducing resource waste. This is where Clariot™ makes the difference, because condition monitoring helps manufacturers in the hygiene industry to avoid failures and work at full capacity without unnecessary interruptions," says Torsten Pedersen.

Clariot™ provides 24/7 monitoring, alerts, and diagnostics for pumps and other rotating equipment, such as agitators. The intelligent system proactively detects machine failures before they occur, maximizes performance, minimizes downtime and extends the life of the equipment.

From insight to foresight

Clariot™ is an important next step in Alfa Laval’s digitalization strategy, which balances resource and operational efficiency with the latest smart technologies.

"We strongly believe that the future of manufacturing lies in predictive, proactive maintenance enabled by sensor data, AI-driven insights, and digital connectivity. We have seen time and time again how our condition monitoring solutions have alerted operators to potential failures before they occurred, enabling proactive maintenance strategies," says Torsten Pedersen.

Clariot™ is a standalone system that offers the highest level of cybersecurity as it operates independently of internal business-critical systems. Installation is easy, and Clariot™ is compatible with most pump models. The interface is intuitive. In addition, the investment is low and pays for itself in a short time.

"In a plant with 50 pumps, a single unplanned shutdown per quarter can lead to annual losses of up to 80,000 euros, while Alfa Laval’s solution costs less than a tenth of this scenario and therefore pays for itself quickly," explains Torsten Pedersen.

Comprehensive technical guide available
